Champions League Football Predictions 1st & 2nd October 2013

Okay, so this is my first go at Champions League group matches. It's done in the same way as I usually do for domestic leagues, however, a weighting is applied to that league depending on the quality. So for example, Celtic are performing well in the Scottish Premier League but the Spanish league has a much higher weighting, which gives them the predicted convincing away win.

Still a bit under trial this so we'll see how it goes. Group G sees Atletico Madrid visit Porto and the Spanish side must be brimming with confidence after beating Real Madrid away at the weekend, as forecast by the Predictor (see last weekend's predictions). Chelsea take a trip to Steaua Bucharest but the Predictor has returned a home win due to Romanian team's league form - be interesting to see how this one pans out.  A convincing home win is also seen for last season's beaten finalist, Borussia Dortmund whilst in form Arsenal are looking at a tough tie against equally in form, Napoli.
