Football Predictions weekend commencing 14th June 2013

Okay, the Predictor is back after a two week break - there really wasn't much club football kicking around and to be honest, there still isn't a great deal but we'll roll with what we've got.

The MLS is the focus for this weekend, however, we still only have a handful of matches on.  The first match of the weekend sees early leaders of the Western Conference, Dallas, take on Portland Timbers who are being dragged along on their coat tails.  After a decent start for Dallas, form has recently dipped and other teams are starting to reel them in, including Portland Timbers.  Predictor sees a close fought affair but with the home team taking all three points, which would really open it up.  Staying with the Western Conference, Colorado Rapids have had a mixed start to the season who face struggling SJ Earthquakes and a convincing home win is predicted. 

Over in the Eastern Conference it's the basement clash with bottom of the league, DC United, at home against Toronto.  Both teams only have one win and they'll look at this game as a good chance to increase that.  However, not surprisingly, a draw is forecast.  Montreal Impact have had a storming start to the campaign but there are teams lining up behind them waiting for a slip up.  They're away to Columbus Crew who have had a mixed start to the season and will struggle to beat the form side and an away win is forecast.  Lastly, we have the inter conference match between Whitecaps and New England - neither team has really set the world on fire but New England seem to have made the better start and more importantly are the form team of the Eastern Conference behind Montreal.  This results in an prediction of an away win for New England.
